Weight Issues

One thing I hardly understand is why many girls, especially my age, are so unhappy and ungrateful about their weight.

I say “ungrateful” because many girls are a normal, healthy weight, based on the fact that they have enough money to have food on the table three times a day, yet they insist they are “fat” or “pudgy” and starve themselves, whether it be by diminished portions or by actually starving.

In many nations across the world – and, in fact, in many cities across America – there are people starving who have NO food, and no money FOR food. So I guess that’s the real reason I get annoyed about my friends calling themselves fat. They aren’t. They just don’t look like supermodels, and who looks like a supermodel anyways?

Yes, it doesn’t help that I’m pretty thin myself, but I can honestly say that people are not attracted to my skinniness. Especially guys. My ex-boyfriend, in fact, dumped me for a girl who’s two inches shorter and five sizes larger in pants than me. Plus, I work HARD to gain weight because I weigh close to nothing, which scares me.

Key point, here, girls: don’t get eating disorders. They suck.

  1. Thanks for the information, Rory.

I totally agree with you. For awhile, I had myself convinced that I was super-fat and everyone was staring at me. Not of fun feeling. I still do it sometimes, but here’s the good news I have done crunches and stretched three days in a row. Yeay me! I feel better already. Nothing showing yet, but in a few weeks . . . I can’t wait!

Well, feel free to drop me a line on Xanga. Unfortunately I haven’t had many comments. *sniff* I’ll talk to you soon.

PS: Thanks for your Christmas card!
